Mobility: Handling and Moving

Transferring a person who has lost some of their mobility either from a car, chair or bed can be a challenge to the relative or carer. There are a number of aids available to assist including transfer boards, and mobility boards.

For assisted and unassisted transfers the transfer board TRAN 200 is designed in a way that enables those with limited mobility or strength to
move from one surface to another, such as chair to wheelchair or wheelchair to car. Cleverly designed with an arc shape the transfer board enables a variety of options in the way people are positioned, but the way that the board is shaped which enables a sweeping action enabling easy transfers. The board can be used for persons with a weight of up to 24 stone.
